Code, animation and risograph: a moving image printed as ink.

Dolce far nulla is Italian for the sweetness of doing nothing. The project lets the process lead, and lets the riso add its own grain and imperfections.

Five steps:

  • Visuals coded in Processing.
  • The animation cut into frames on a contact sheet.
  • The frames split into two colour channels.
  • Master files fed into the riso.
  • Magic ✨💥 Pixels on paper.
